James Drakes and the Chris Taylor Trio are an acoustic/indie rock band based in Pittsburgh, PA. The band formed in 2015, after Drakes released his debut solo EP "Quarter." Since then the band has shared the stage with acts such as Tim Reynolds, XEB, Lee Dewyze, Wakey Wakey, Casey Abrams, and some of the best up-and-coming acts that the thriving Pittsburgh music scene has to offer. The band prides themselves on their live performances and thrives on stage. The band signed a deal with "Wicked Pittsburgh Records" in April 2018.

The band combines a perfect blend of fluid percussion, outrageous bass lines, ringing solos and catchy lyrics. The band is currently playing and scheduling shows across Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina as they begin to establish a regional presence.
