What musicians do you draw your inspiration from?

We have a mix of inspiration. Bands like Greensky Bluegrass, Cabinet, The Travelin' McCourys, Newgrass Revival, and Railroad Earth influence us in both contemporary and classic bluegrass. Being children of the 70's we were all influenced by classic rock, especially The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Top Petty, and Neil Young. All of us also have a common love for classic country and Americana, like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Buck Owens. We also draw some of our sound from modern folk such as Mumford and Sons and The Lumineers, along with some grunge influence from Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Our range of covers goes beyond this, as we continue to look for new ways to blend different styles with our setup.

Describe your sound?

Our sound has been described as being Appalachian Folk. Our original songs blend traditional bluegrass, with folk rock, blues, and a bit gypsy jazz.  Our songs are mostly upbeat with energetic banjo and mandolin solos, country/bluesy guitar and harmonica licks, and a driving bluegrass bass.

What is your most memorable performance experience?

Butler Ice Jam 2014 – They had about 1800 people in the banquet hall at Days Inn. When we got on stage, those 1800 people were quieter than any size group we'd ever played in front of. It was nerve racking and exhilarating all at the same time. We played a great set of our originals and got a wonderful reaction from the crowd. It was the moment that we realized our hard work was paying off and that we still had so much farther to go.

Where can your fans check out your music and merchandise?

Our music is currently available digitally via cdbaby.com, Spotify, and iTunes. CD's and Vinyl will also be available from cdbaby.com in the near future. Currently our physical albums and schwag are only available by coming to our shows, but we will eventually be selling through our website as well.
